Site: A downslope extensive renovation and expansion required excavating for the north face of the house. In many view areas, with height restrictions, down is the only way to go.
Details: Renovated the existing structure and excavated down to add a major addition to a single story house. A new master suite, additional garage space, and laundry room were added to the lower expansion to stay within the required height restrictions.
ADC worked to tie the new addition to the existing structure maintaining design and detail that made the whole house feel like a new build. To make matters wven more challenging, a few years later a new owner wished to expand the home a second time bringing its total square footage to 6,000 =/- square feet.
